The transformation you guys see in snow countries is always an eye opener to me.
We just don't get this kind of change here. Its either hot or wet. Not often both.

Good compositions, all of them

David,

A very nice set. The PX does a good job with colour rendering. That's an unusual church - looks like the Georgians have made some changes.

Tim - we sometimes get all four seasons in one day :)

Richard - I've been experimenting with the 'snow' setting on my PX, as best as I can tell, this setting biases the meter by +1, increased colour depth & sharpening in cam. I PP the images in ACDsee [shadow/highlight + contrast] which gives a little more detail to the snow areas & lifts the colour slightly.

Genster - the original colour shot was a bit weak, it just seemed to suit B&W better.

#2 is great! Love that outside stair...and #3 is a classic with the tree, pylon and wires, frozen canal...superb!

David, thanks - shows the value of delving in to the camera to see what is in there - the PX does have a lot of image pre-sets and I'd forgotten about the 'snow' one. Anyway, I've decided as a result of your pictures to put the 'beloved' GRD4 away for a few days and to carry (and use I hope) the PX to see if I can do a bit better with it.

Voting for ## 3 and 4 if possible yet. :) Nice processing, the first quaternion.
