Where do I ask questions about Ricoh printers?

Hi, I know this is about cameras, but I can not find anywhere that discusses Ricoh Printers/scanners/photocopiers MFD's.

We have one at work, and it keeps forgetting it's IPV4 address that is set to "specified" rather than DHCP.
Can someone point me to an forum that is about their other devices, as I am fed-up telling our MP 171 printer "Specified" (and then inputting the address)only for it to randomly decide to revert to "DCHP" and pick an IP address that is outside of our LAN address list.

Sounds like your DHCP server is either not configured properly or not working. If the printer, or any device, can find the DHCP server, the address is generally going to be ok. If the device can't find the server, it usually 'self assigns' a number, which is always wrong. Maybe you might have some luck getting help with your DHCP server. Doesn't sound like its the printer.

All the pc's on our LAN work, and do so all the time. They all have static IP addresses, and remember them. The problem is that this one printer every so often "forgets" that is is set to static & goes dynamic. At this point no one can print to is as it is not "there" any more, but somewhere else. I could of course RTFM ( :roll: ), but it's written in a language that looks like English but is not actually English. I do wonder why a printer (Than receives data but never requests it) should even have the option to pick its own address, it is almost as if it is designed to play hide seek, with it being the one going to hide!
If this PC's IP address changes it does not matter, as the next time I refresh this page the request for data will include the new address, and the data will arrive here.
However, I do thank you (and the others) for taking the time to reply to my initial post, and when I return to work I will check your suggestion, though I suspect the truth is that the printer does not know the address of our DCHP server, which is why it occasionally goes AWOL.
