Marcus,
An excellent topic and well illustrated in your image.
Athena shows there is some hope!

I agree with Tim :D
If I were Marcus I had I had been waiting for a contest with an appropriate subject for this photo :D
I think it's a outstanding photo.

Thank you Tim and thank you Genster for your kind remarks.. :D , much appreciated.

Marcus, Athena,

well done, both. It seems a bit, that both shots could belong together: nearly same location, child..
Title of serial: playing hide-and-seed.

Regards,
JONIE

Well done Jonie. :) Athena and I were wondering if anyone would notice!
Yes, same child, same place, same day, same tree, almost same time........ Exif data reveals all!

The little girl was on a picnic with her extended family and friends on a foggy day. She was very inquisitive and upon seeing us with cameras in hand, followed us. She spoke no English except 'Hello', but her smile and shyness were both a wonder to behold!.........Made our day. :D

It seemed such a simple idea, one we felt compelled to share with others....
Thank you Peter. :)

Thank you all for your kind comments :D . Yes, we were out together taking pictures at the same location - all the fog made for a really awesome atmosphere. The area is actually called 'Sublime Point Lookout', and of course, all one could see from the lookout was a foggy abyss, with the sound of the ocean - amazing! It was like staring into a void at the end of the world....

The little girl was very friendly and interested in what we were doing, so when she smiled at us, of course I had to take a picture - no time to change the settings from the HCB&W I had set at the time, or to straighten the horizon - but I think these elements add to the appeal of the picture. We have other pics from that day, but it will be a while before I get around to putting mine on here...or maybe not - don't know yet, we'll see ;).

Fabulous !

turn around .... and so she embraced the 'Joy' .

Many thanks , Kort .

:)

Excelent team work, hein?

Each photo has a life on it's own, both excelent, but I cannot see them individually anymore. Very well done!

Thank you Rui, for taking the time to comment.
It was fun and interesting to share an idea we hadn't seen done here before......the response has been wonderful. :D

Great.....that was the basic idea. We wanted it to be about the subject, not the people behind the lens, or even the individual IQ's. I think this was achieved. :D .....Marcus.
