We went to Weston yesterday and despite an overcast morning, it cleared up nicely - again the GR captured some images I am happy with and proved its worth.

Thanks arkadius,

It was a great day with a mix of weather from moody clouds early to bright sunshine later so that and the people made for some fun photos.

I also took my Fuji X100s but ended up shooting more with the GR as well as preferring the final images from the GR to those from the Fuji, guess it came down to a size/less attention grabbing in use choice and that was won by the GR.

I may have mentioned that I was tempted with the 100s, but I really think the images are sharper from the GR

I have to say there is very little difference in IQ between the two, they both have their pros/cons.

X100s - Great optical/electronic viewfinder
Superb leaf shutter high speed flash sync
Retro look / handling with tactile input
Well made with good handling
A joy to use if you have previously used Leica rangefinders
Can be a little slow to focus dependant on subject matter / lighting
Great Off camera flash capability
GR - A super small body with APS-C sensor
Good sharp images
Godd shutter spedd range for a compact unit (300sec - 1/4000s)
Silent operation
Snap focus
Good quality LCD
Did I mention how super small it is for a large sensor camera!

I believe you may have done. My mind was made up about the ricoh once I saw the variety of images here, and I am looking forward to being creative with the single focal length

Hopefully Arkadius you will be as happy as I am with the camera and get some great results from it.

Good luck
