Sally,

More super photographs, I love the texture of the door & perspective in #3, B&W suits the subject very well.

Did you shoot in RAW [& PP] or JPEG?

I understand from the Forum that GRD3 JPEG's are much cleaner than those from the GRD2.

David

Hiya David

I did shoot raw + jpeg and the images are the Jpeg version after been resized via CS4 and Jasc Paint 9 :)

I have not used the GRD 2 so honnestly i couldnt comment on the camera but your results look brilliant aswell

The GRD3 gives some excellent results in Black n White and i did use the Cokin Grey Grad filter in these ones :)

Hi Sally,

I'm also using RAW+JPEG & post-processing using Silkypix, I find the ability to adjust the white balance "post photo" to be one of the most useful things about RAW.

I'm also looking into the possibility of using graduate filters for colour landscape work, what filters do you find you use most?

David

The filters i use are

Light and Dark Grey Grads

ND Grads 1-4-8

Grad Blue Soft

And a Soft Focus Filter that i sometimes use on Landscapes and Portraits to give that soft feel :)

Also have a Infrared Filter but have not yet used it on the GR3

Sally :)

Very interesting set of photos, and info about filters too!

I received a ND grey grad filter today, so I'm expecting a chance to use it. I thinking about also buying some more ND (2+4+8)... this HA-2 gives lot's of room for experiences

Sally, Rui,

Thanks for the info on filters, I'm going to invest in a grad blues & greys as a start.

Does the cokin filter holder have any effect on the autofocus?

David

Hi David

Never had any problems ever with the filters be it Cokin / Kood or any others that ive used :)
