So.I've finally gotten around to buying a film scanner......and this is my first attempt at using it.

the photo was taken in Vietnam around 4 years ago in a local market around the time of the bird-flu outbreak.

i have over 10,000 negs to scan and it took me 10 minutes to scan 5!.............and thats without any PP.each neg is over 12meg and i think i will need more time than god will allow me and at least 6 terrabytes of HD space.............wish me luck!

What camera and film did you use? Nice color.
By the way you can scan 8 hrs a day  for 42 days  to get you 10,000 neg. done........ . :D....and you can share with us 1 neg. per day for 28 years  but with kind of capture I do not mind for being shared. :)

Muddy....

Canon EOS 30, Tamron 28-300 shot at 28 end, Kodak Supra 200.............

As for the stats.............well looks like i'll be a busy boy then!

will start scanning quick-sharpish! Glad you like! M

Hi Marky,
I can't comment on the actual technical aspects of this scan and photo as my technical skill is lacking. However the actual image itself is amazingly interesting - so thanks for the effort in getting it onto the forum.

I like your photograph, its almost timeless. Could be 1985,1995 or it could be 2005.

I just got a neg scanner too. There is so much cleaning & positioning to do plus at some point you have to remember the settings for the picture. As some of my negatives are 30 years old I think i will omit that part myself.
