Has anyone used the GXR in wet conditions without adverse effects on the camera and lens unit?

The GXR is not weather proof but I have used it in rainy conditions without any issues. Just keep it in your pocket/under your coat and only take it out to make the actual pictures.

I have used it this way on a speedboat as well just make sure that it isn't flushed.

If your expecting wetter conditions pack a ziplock or other type of plastic bag to wrap around it.

True enuff. I wouldn't take a shower with it but I have had it out in the rain. Enuff rain to get the lens wet and no issues. My biggest concern was fog forming inside the lensor but it didn't happen.
Great stuff...

All I can add is that I'v had it wet several times...but so far no drowning symptoms! I guess you never really know how far to push your luck until it is too late?
It is certainly splash resistant though...
