Two Views Of The Same Bird

I was sheltering from the snow for a moment whilst waiting for friends and this nice girl was just standing there in the snow...

And thoughts on which view works best?

When I took the picture I thought that the off-set (stagger) in the columns would give the picture more depth...but I was later struck by the sense of space provided in the #1 where the columns are further apart and a better sense of the surroundings could be seen. The two snow-clad 'thinkers' also look better in #1?

I think I will re-process #1 more in line with #2 (as advised by Rui and others) to see what can be done!
