Two New 'Monsters' on the Donau Kanal

New buildings are springing up along the canal every year. The first one is in the shape of a boat, is the new terminal for the Vienna to Bratilslava ferry service. Although from the canal it has one or two redeeming features (especially after dark), from the city centre side is is SO ugly it annoys me every time I pass... :x

The other, the 'sky-scraper' is posssibly beautiful, possibly not...jury is still out on it as far as I'm concerned!

The old good Gothic and Renaissance seem to be definitely gone.
It reminds me the controversial glassy pyramids of Louvre in Paris and also only some month old glass-and-granite "castle" shopping "monster" on the edge of the historical centre of our city. Both caused mixed emotions from a deep disgust to a fiery acceptance.
