Hey all,
I've not posted very often on here, but here I am again!
I have a short time lapse clip I wanted to share with you, I hope this is the right place to put it.

It's a little clumsy but it represents a week of playing (I'm very much a novice), it's also on youtube so the quality isn't great.

the last one is my favourite, what do you think?

Thanks guys :D

I love the colours in the second clip too, the stillness of the water really helps as well I think.
I took the shots while on holiday in Scotland last week, I only wish I was still there now, the ash in the atmosphere from the Volcano in Iceland is going to create some stunning sunsets.

I think my next purchase will be a HA 2 adapter & a either a UV filter or a Polarising filter. Which would be best for this sort of shot do you think?

really good! you have inspired me to have a go! loved the clouds, smoke and the stars coming out after the sun had gone down :-)

Thank you :D. The star coming down the centre of the shot was a real unexpected bonus, my brother thinks it may have been a planet (possibly Venus) but we're not sure. :D

Cool! Skye has a special atmosphere all of its own... :)
And yes, that is very probably Venus setting after the sun...a real smooth descent! ;)
Nice work...

On the question of filter, I may be incorrect but when pointing the camera directly into the sun, I would guess that the polarising filter would work more as a neutral density filter rather than give 'normal' polarising effects? Not sure about the UV...
Cheers!
Andy

Thanks! I'm even more chuffed with it, now I've caught another planet in the clip! :D
Think I've got the bug now, I want do some more when I've ordered HA2 adapter & some filters :D

Wow, the sun made such a short but intense arc across the sky! This must have been far north, in the winter perhaps? Like a "Long, dark night of the soul"

I made the clips last week in the Highlands of Scotland, the sunset is quite short because I was juggling battery life with the number of shots I could get. It was all a bit hit & miss because it was the first time I'd done time lapse, but now I have a better idea I could made the clip longer. Still there's always next time! :D

This where the sunset was filmed :D
