The attached photo was taken in 2001 with my very first digital camera, a Canon Digital IXUS. The camera was small, well built and at that time, an extraordinary piece of work. What a transformation that was: No more waiting for pictures to be developed and printed. You could check the picture on the screen, decide whether to keep it or not. The screen was the size of two postage stamps and the resolution was by today's standards not much to write home about. However, it literally opened a new world to me. The camera is still in the family; my 10-year old nephew is now using it. I hope he'll be a fond photography as I am.
