Thanks Blow-in..

She didn't really have much choice  , but It wasn't too bad a day, rain was on and off.....
Like the little Cx3....it takes pretty good quality images for what it is and it has a 300mm zoom, which I thought I may need on the day. The GXR came along for the ride this time

....There really is no comparison, the GXR is a beauty to use, and the IQ brilliant. Sure, one day I may want to go one better, maybe the m mount, but for now, I'm satisfied....
I have in my collection now a GRD1, GX200, CX3(Athena's but shared), and GXR. Depends on what I'm going to shoot on the day as to what camera(s) come along.
eg...Street - definitely the GRD, with the 21mm lens ready in my pocket. (That's what I think at present, but a few weeks with the GXR may change my mind!)
The GRDiv(my friend has one) is an awesome camera, quite different in usability to the GRD1. (eg.RAW images take about 15 seconds to write to card on the GRD, so really only good for jpegs)
IMO you couldn't really go wrong with either, the GRiv or the GXR.
I started in digital with just the GRD, but I personally wasn't satisfied with just a 28mm prime. My interests in photography vary widely, so it was inevitable that boredom arose eventally....
Hope this helps a little with making your choice, really just depends on your interest...some people are happy just to concentrate wholly on one thing(street for eg).... :?

Good luck....
