Nice pictures - I imagine the bride would have preferred a dry day. Interested that you are lugging around both the CX3 and your new GXR S10 - is this for comparison reasons or because it was wet? How do they compare? - part of me really wants a GXR for image quality (with an A module) while another part wants a GRD IV for portability (and relative affordability).

Thanks Blow-in.. :D She didn't really have much choice  , but It wasn't too bad a day, rain was on and off.....
Like the little Cx3....it takes pretty good quality images for what it is and it has a 300mm zoom, which I thought I may need on the day. The GXR came along for the ride this time :D ....There really is no comparison, the GXR is a beauty to use, and the IQ brilliant. Sure, one day I may want to go one better, maybe the m mount, but for now, I'm satisfied....
I have in my collection now a GRD1, GX200, CX3(Athena's but shared), and GXR. Depends on what I'm going to shoot on the day as to what camera(s) come along.
eg...Street - definitely the GRD, with the 21mm lens ready in my pocket. (That's what I think at present, but a few weeks with the GXR may change my mind!)
The GRDiv(my friend has one) is an awesome camera, quite different in usability to the GRD1. (eg.RAW images take about 15 seconds to write to card on the GRD, so really only good for jpegs)
IMO you couldn't really go wrong with either, the GRiv or the GXR.
I started in digital with just the GRD, but I personally wasn't satisfied with just a 28mm prime. My interests in photography vary widely, so it was inevitable that boredom arose eventally....
Hope this helps a little with making your choice, really just depends on your interest...some people are happy just to concentrate wholly on one thing(street for eg).... :? ;) :D
Good luck....

Marcus,

Thanks for the advice. I'll certainly be keeping my GRD (KT version) and GRD2 for the long term especially as I have both the 21 & 40 mm adapters. I'm bidding on an almost new GRD4 at the moment and will see what happens....
