Hi All. I have been having some fun with the new GR - this camera is everything I hoped it would be.
I have put together a pdf of 3 days of shooting around Sydney. Those interested can view it at http://jonlister.com/home.htm - just click on the GR PDF link.

The photographs in this pdf are mostly jpegs straight out of the camera. I used the positive film effect setting - standard. Manual exposure and snap focus.

The camera is a joy to work with - very responsive.

Cheers,
Jon

Jon,

Outstanding work! The way you work with light is very distinctive and I love the use of the positive film colour. Well worth downloading.

Great to see this work of yours and the effect you've achieved with them, Jon.
Were you focusing normally or using 'Snap focus'?

Cheers guys. The GR certainly has character! I used snap focus exclusively and set the distance/iso/aperture to give me the depth of field I required.
It really is a great feature of this camera.

I have tried the auto focus and it seems to work very well but with the snap setting you know exactly what you are going to get with the corresponding DOF.

Never try this setting, but suddenly it makes want to shoot color again. Thanks so much!
