I don't know. But the artifact showed up after I converted from RAW to JPEG. Given the title, doesn't look too bad though.

Spode, just great news. Have you seen this on other frames. Can you duplicate this?
My shrink will want to know...

I have seen this effect before on other cameras I have owned. First time was from my 7D after a bit of heavy handed processing. I've been searching thumbnails but I'm getting tired now !
On the 7D file it looked very much like a focusing screen reflection, but as this is a Compact so like everybody else, I ain't got a clue !
