The Fruit and Veg Man - GR1

I've been shooting my Zeiss Ikon ZM a lot recently so have posted few photos here. Finally, I have completed my collection of Ricoh GR-style cameras with a GR1. This was from my test roll:

This lovely old man selling home grown vegetables at Mui Wo Pier, Lantau, is so very outgoing and proud of his wares and I am sure he enjoyed having his picture taken. It was my last shot on the roll.

I agree - a great portrait. A characterful 'sitter' and the veggies provide the context while the cycle in the background implies a humble mode of transport (even if it is not his - or even his wife's). Just a lovely shot that does full justice to the reputation of the GR1.

Its great to make a connection and engage with the sitter, seems you really got him to respond. This images for me just has that bit more DR that film delivers.
Someone once said some of their best images were from #37 on the roll.
Thanks for posting.
