Sugar Plant, Maui Hawaii

Good choice to use HCB&W - it really suits the scene, with dirty smoke being emitted from the stacks. Great picture!

Thanks all for your kind comments. The GRD III has rekindled my photography hobby and I would never have thought to have even taken this picture had I had my DSLR. I took this shot out the window of the car we were in. I knew I would have to crop it too. But I had already had this type of final image in my mind as we were driving by.

3 months ago this would not have entered my imagination!

Very dramatic... amazing shot. GRD3 at it's best. I like the contrast treatment.

I totally agree... I hardly ever use my Nikon DSLR any more... Only for specific tasks. I think my better photos are coming from my little Ricoh. There are no limits.

My GRD is always with me where my Nikon DSLR requires a conscious effort to carry along.

the smoke and cloud mixture makes for a most stunning blend, speaking of which, think i'll be having honey in my coffee now
