Hi swelter and welcome here! Interesting object. Looks like the black monolith from Space Odyssey 2001 but a bit more complex. Maybe it's a Monolith version 2.0?

That's a good idea. I never thought about the Film 2001 and the monolith.
This was taken in a sculpture park in Goodwood near Chichester.
