Good composition, but the image appears a little dark on my monitor.

Chris, I too see this image a bit too dark. I guess you tried to recover some highlights but it seems you overdid it? If you upload your source raw somewhere, I can look on it if there is a chance to recover highlights without darkening the image.

Thanks David and Pavel for comment - very useful. . I tried with ISO 800 to obtain greater detail and character in subjects face but without success . Pavel thanks for suggestion - I gave this a go once before to ricohforum ftp but failed - Internet skills not up to scratch.

Chris, try for example www.dropbox.com service. It's very easy to use and very useful service for file sharing. Or just send it to ricohforum support email. There should be enough disk quota

Chris, I love this composition. I think he has to love he's portrait too ;-)

I see some ways to work with this photo, maybe giving it and "old" kind of look... a kind of romantic landscape and portrait?
