I *think* it is a coil of silver solder thats been run over.
A lot.
It was in the parking lot of a an old business, I'd just done some shots of the building itself and looked down and saw this.

Yip!!. Definately sigil. Made of pewter in Navaho, Cheyenne or Cherokee style and worn around neck. Probably lost by owner while being chassed by local cowboy.
