The "mighty mini-Topic" by Stephan brought me the idea to make a thread in which in we show old photographs of our own old cars. I hope you want to join :D

I kick off with a photograph from 1982. The picture shows my old 1969 NSU 1200C. If I remember correctly, I have taken the picture with a Kodak camera:

NSU12001969.jpg

I might be able to find some, which will have to be scanned from prints........ somehow I never bothered much with pictures of my own cars. However on my website there are a lot of old and relatively old cars which would fit the bill, if that was allowed in the thread:?:

I never had a Mini, I had a Fiat 500 Bambino.

Found some films that were shot by me but undeveloped.
Stuff from the late 1980's. Shot with my Soviet Zenit 12XP SLR & Auto Photo Dynamics f3.5 / 25mm lens. Kodak 125 Plus-X pan
Errr, it's almost 2012. So that makes it old.

Edit: Hey Phil,

It was the most inexpensive SLR camera I could afford at the time after selling my Ricoh KR-5

Great Idea that new topic, Genster!
Unfortunately I have no scanner for the hard copy prints of my former cars.
It is a pleasure to see all these phantastic cars , Fiat Bambino, Mini, NSU Prinz (no longer existing), Datsun (now Nissan).....
Your Datsun -model must be one of the very first one that was importet to Europe in the early 70 th.

Big fun to look into this topic..

Cheers,
JONIE

Not high on reliability, this one! :D
When it was not shedding wheels, it was spitting out gear boxes... :?
But, wow, what a rip those twin carbs gave... :D
Andy
PS this was 1977 I think, Minolta SRT101.

Here is my old 1974 TA22 Celica. I bought this about 1981. It was metallic Chocolate brown.
1600cc with bean hole mags and a hot dog exhaust.
Reliable except on 40+ days. The fuel lines would get a vapour lock. Nothing you can do but sit and wait for it to cool.

Later on, I upgraded to this Toyota T18.
We did a lot of miles in this.
The car was dead reliable, water pump bearing replaced, that was about the only failure.
This baby had aircon. :D
