Good portraits Sally! It's a pity Ricoh decided not to make 40mm converter for GRDIII. From my own experience, 28mm is a bit too wide and somewhat deforms the reality. With GRDII I always used GT-1 despite its strong flare problem. But everything else was exceptional about GT-1. I wish Ricoh would make 40mm version of the GRDIII with even a bit faster than f1.9 lens. It's easier to make a fast 40mm lens than 28mm.

Yeah , I really could do with that extra bit aswell , So doesnt the GT-1 fit on the GRD3 and if not what is avaiable for the GRD3 just the wide angle conversion and is it worth buying one ?

Well, you can use GT-1 with GRDIII but only with step-down ring and only at a cost of vignetting. There are many compatible step-down rings, but it's hard to find the one with very low profile, which is important to minimize the vignetting. I posted a test of GRDIII+GT-1 here:

As for the wide angle conversion lenses, yes they are definitely worth their money and very usable! You can use not only the GW-2 (original GRDIII wide converter) but also the DW-6 originally designed for GX100/200/S10. I posted some comparisons and thoughts here:

I was never much in wide angles, but I currently use DW-6 with GRDIII as a primary lens. I found it great for low light photography and panning. It's especially great for panning, fast actions and indoor photography (great for taking kids ;)). I have both GW-2 and DW-6 but despite some advantages of GW-2, I prefer to use DW-6 because of smaller profile and weight.

I think the third one is quite successful, but I don't think the second one works very well.

It's good to experiment though, so keep it up!

Thanks for that

Will look into those topics tommorow and will most likely order one or the other in the next few weeks :)
