A shot from yesterday festival in Yamaga City , I came back home with around 250 pictures , the camera was on all the time from 17:00 to 22:00 and I used just one battery and half of the card , the camera performance was great I just missed some photos because I have to get used to the full press function , if halfpress auto focus is on , so sometimes I just full press (it´s adictive) and maybe the subject is not on the set distance.
But that´s just my fault!

In every event in Japan there are hundreds of photo-aficionados , most of them old people that usually are loaded down with cameras and tripod and everything , I´ll post some more of this kind.
There are also a lot of old women !!

Another from Yamaga festival , great chance for some street-photography !
Old fashion style photographer with new technology !

Hikari,

these are great street images, I would be interested to see some more.
for some reason I find it interesting to see images of other photographers at work,
maybe because they are a creature of the same species?

Thanks thelps ! , I love taking photos of photographers , I feel very close to them !! , specially here in Japan , you´ll be amazed at the amount of analogic photographers I see all the time !
Another photographer with his Nikon and "pro neck strap" !

Great streetshots Hikari. I can see why so many people today returns back to film. I personally tried GR1v and I have to say I like its output. Fortunately, there are still cameras like GRD or GX. And with some processing we can return at least a part of the old film feel ;)

Thanks odklizek ! , I usually shot also a lot of film ! , and everytime I go to a hard-off store (2nd hand stuff) I always walk out with a camera , you can find them as cheap as 500 yen (around 3pounds!).
I think the grd 3 is also very good in achieving that film look , of course the postproduction helps but is a very good starting point , and I prefer the analog look in my photos , I don´t care too much about noise and iq but more about subjects and compositions .

Here the last one for the weekend , maybe some of you have seen the b&w version on my ricoh diary or in flickr , here is the color version.

I´m finding the jpg´s very good to work with (I´m a raw shooter btw!)

Great shots, especially the color ones. Definitely have a film look. That old lady in the first one looks like my grandmother, she has no clue how to use a camera though ahaha
