Ricoh GR1 Noisy?

Hi Guys,
First time poster here. I have a Ricoh GR1 that I have had since 1997. It has been a great camera and I had to have it serviced once as the LCD was getting faint. Typical problem I hear.
Now I go and am getting ready to use it again.
I remember when I load the film in, there is the sound of it being taken up, that is normal and then it stops when it gets to the end of the roll. Now I start to take pictures.
Everytime that I snap one picture and the next one moves into position the sound of the advancement seems loud to me. Maybe I'm so used to Digital that I forgot but i'm not sure.
Can any of you other GR owners tell me if the film advancement is silent or if it does make noise.
Thanks for any help.

Hi elmogs and welcome here! As far as I remember form my short experience with GR1v, the film rewinding was indeed loud. Much louder than any sound produced by GRDII, which I carried and used along with GR1v. So yes, I think it's normal? But maybe other GR1 users have different experience?

Thanks for the reply. I just shot a roll and all the pictures came out properly exposed, sharp, and nice as I remembered. I guess I have been using a Leica for too long! :)
