I've owned this camera since Friday of last week, and have used it every day except for today,
Here are some examples of in camera processed images where labeled, and some through LR 4/Silver Efex 2.
Quick impressions after the pictures:
These first two were processed in LR

Unfortunately, like another user here, Spode, http://ricohforum.com/phpbb/viewtopic.php?f=72&t=10385
I've encountered dust on the sensor which is visible in some shots, I noticed after only 2 days of use. Then a day later I noticed a dead pixel on the LCD. So sad considering how great it is using this camera, I've owned a Ricoh Gr1s and though they are different cameras completely, the GR keeps some of that classic form and feeling of the Gr1s when in use. I haven't used any of the previous GRD's but I do own a Fuji X100 and compared to this they are completely different tools. The image quality of both are superb but the output is completely different on both. The files have their own looks. I can go on comparing the two but using the GR is not like using the X100 at all, once you learn or relearn how to use the GR it is always ready to shoot, both have ease of access to controls and everything important that you need at your fingertips but it feels so different setting one up from the other (but both very good to use and set up). I'd say the GR is the quickest to use in certain situations (even when turning it on and off), without even having to look twice at settings, or look at all once you've set it up. I didn't want to even say much, just wanted to show some examples is all, and that I think very positively about this camera. Feel free to ask any questions.

Nice photos and they show the potential.
I do have a question.....

From your very first frame till you noticed the dead pixel and dust, do you feel the dust got into the sensor during use or was it there from the start?

Spode's unit came from B&H. Where did you get yours?
We should start a tracking data base and then we can chart the issues and report to Ricoh.
Thanks in advance......
Don

Don, I got my unit from Wolfe's Camera in KS through amazon. To be honest though, the dust and dead pixel do not bother me much I've used it a couple times since and don't think about it, the dust might get better or worse but the pixel isn't noticeable when in use, just something to point out and it is there. There was no dust in the sensor the first two days of using the camera, it appeared after a few shots the second day of use and then on, I only noticed after reviewing them through the LCD at the end of the day then on a monitor and then doing test shots after, it's been there ever since, so it definitely didn't come from the factory or beforehand, it was due to being exposed in the real, not very dusty world. But hey, apparently it happens and thankfully I can be helped if it really is an issue.
Thanks Don.

Thanks for the comment. I'm also a GR1/GR1s user and I'm really hoping that I will like the GR. I'm still waiting for mine to ship. I just put in my order a few days ago.

Thanks for the reply. Here's something you could try.
The camera should be off at first. Use a vacuum cleaner and put the tube in your hand and cup it around the lens barrel. The sucking pressure will be controlled by your hand around the barrel. Gently tap the camera a few times while the vacuum is doing it's thing. Vacuum off, camera on....check for dust.
Shoot at different f/stops against the sky......90% of the time this will remove the dust.
