Ricoh GR - First Photoshoot

Hey all.

I took my brand new Ricoh GR out today for its first proper shoot. I was delighted, was shooting in a very gloomy whisky warehouse and had to bump ISO up to 1600. Despite that I still got very usable, sharp and clean files. I edited them on silver efex 2 and added a little structure and grain to the pics.

Thanks for the comment. I am doing some work for a new distillery in Thurso called wolfburn.

If you are in to whisky (which I am not!) they are a distillery to watch. The business seems poised to explode.

Very nice starting set. Great to hear that yet another distillery is being reborn (I do like the stuff but it's an occasional treat). Some time to wait though before trying this one.

Thanks for the comments guys, much appreciated. Glad the monochrome stands out, a lot of thought and experimentation went into the exact look.

It's been a real eye-opener working to briefs and timescales, certainly sharpens the mind and the eye!

I will post some choice cuts from my next shoot.

Work is ongoing to have a chilling out room which will have framed prints, we have already done a lot of prints for giveaways and some are adorning the wall of a whisky bar in Tokyo. Exciting times.
