Rain on the Seine....

I was in Paris last Thursday and Friday (work, sadly....) but I took my M6TTL loaded with Portra 800 rated at 3,200. It was extremely gloomy and wet and the colours were very muddy as a result of pushing the film 2 stops and the crappy light. However, a bit of PS CS3 and Silver Efex Pro work has made them a tad more acceptable...

Excellent shots and fine processing work! I like the grainy and sepia qualities, and I agree with petach that this gives a timeless quality to the shots :D .

terrific  ... the second image is just missing horse and carriage in place of the two ladies ,but the first image i somehow prefer - but only because of the ugly hard seeming concrete and graffiti to the left , as the rest of image has age -this puts a real split in my feelings ;)

thanks , Kort .

:)

Yes, I agree to all of the postings: great timeless pictures, with interesting grain that fits well to the atmospere.

Thanks for sharing, Paul.

Cheers ,

Paris in B&W without any car, that's not usual.
It's better for health and also for photos!
