Anyone interested in R8 sound (in video)? I personally don't care about video in compact cameras. But I was asked to test the audio recorded with video. So here are two ripped soundtracks from short videos:
R8:

Both cameras were laid side by side cca 10cm from each other and approximately 1m from a TV set.
It seems to me that R8 got a bit stronger microphone (or stronger sound processing)? Both tracks sounds flat, but what we can expect from 8Khz mono sound?
However, the R8 track sounds a bit better to me? No clicking noise like you can hear in R7 track.
