Possible to copy files directly to USB drive?

Hi,

I just thought this would be best option to save date with on PC accessible. Did anyone try this and can confirm it works?
To be more precise - a simple formatted USB Stick.

I'm not sure I understand what you mean? Copy the photos directly from the camera to USB drive (i.e. without connecting the camera to PC/Mac)? That's unfortunately not possible because Ricoh cameras (I believe most of currently produced cameras) does not support USB host.

As quick as usual - Yes - that is what I meant. So I guess I need a fototank. Any recommendations?

Maybe you should wait a bit for some more GXR announcements? There is still planned a GXR photo storage unit with integrated HDD

Quite interesting, but as you mentioned rumours.
Finally I decided just to buy a Sandisk 16GB class 10. Together with my 8GB it offers 1100 raw shots for my new A12 50 - should be enough.
