p10 down by the river

Yesterday it was 101 (f) and I took the GXR-P10 down to the river to try to cool off.

A great set of roots!

the P10 performed very well, I tried to do some spider web macro shots but I need more experience in capturing these types of shots.
(ie...I'm too embarassed to show my results)

Thanks for looking

Very impressive ;) . Are these jpeg ooc or RAW processed?. I hope you had a swim as well :) .

Re: p10 down by the river

Interesting subject matter, and nice work!
I see the greenish-hues in the blue sky (and the sky's reflection in the water) that you spoke of in your previous thread.

Since you are selling your P10 Module, and Ricoh seems to have yet to provide one to Pavel, maybe Ricoh will buy it back from you, and send it along to him ... :p

Chris
they were jpg, I lifted the shadows in #1 but thats about it.
no swim...was trying to walk off around 5 pounds that found my stomach area over Xmas time...the older I get the harder it is to stay in shape!

DM
funny, about Ricoh+Pavel
I really like the GXR, I thought I made a more than fair offering but since no one has been willing to meet my price I may just keep it.
If I could see a time line for some future module that would sway me one way or the other.
btw...did you check out the color checker passport link I posted? really curious if that would bring the CX+GXR colors back in line with what SilkyPix does.

Here's something that (if I owned a GXR + P10 as well as a CX3) just might sway me to (if one or the other were to have to go) sell the CX3 instead.
At the web-page:
http://dpreview.com/previews/panasonicdmcfz100/
set up the 100% crop comparison for:
the GXR + P10 (for JPG) @ ISO=100; and
the CX3 (JPG only) @ ISO=80

That is what I call a "no contest" situation! Score one for the (optics) of the P10 Module as compared to the CX3 ...

Yes, I did. Looks pretty neato! How much do they charge for the "little wonder"?

the little wonder is 99 bucks.....would like to get some other feedback before spending the green

if I was buying based on the dpr images....you are 100% correct but and this is a BIG "BUT".........the images I capture with my CX3 @ 80 generally are if not equal, sometimes superior to the P10 @ 100....not so at 200 but at base the contest is too close to call.
The dpr images from that CX3 are not representative of what I have seen from my CX3 and are not as clean/sharp as the images I used to get from my CX1.
So, I no longer believe what I see from 'one source'.

There are folks on the DP Review Panasonic Talk forum who are (similarly) doubting that the new DMC-FZ100 (as well) could really be as horrible as the crop-samples appear to indicate (and posting other test shots that may back that up).

However (in the case of the DMC-FZ100), when one looks at the entire test-shot at:
http://dpreview.com/reviews/samples/stu ... iso100.jpg
it's hard to find any obvious (focus, stability, etc.) faults with the "big picture" ... Dunno ... :p

Beautiful place but more beautiful pictures. Congratulations, that is if it is to take advantage of the P10!

Bello lugar pero más bellas las fotos. Enhorabuena ¡esto si que es sacar ventaja del P10 !
