OCTOBER 2010 - SELF-PORTRAIT

Thank you all who participated in the September contest (you can vote here). Let's start with October contest!

Theme:
The contest theme for this month is "SELF-PORTRAIT" (theme suggested by erizoclick - August contest winner)! Be creative and post your self-portrait taken in an unusual way. This month, you can post the photo taken with ANY camera you want! Yes, this time it's not locked to just Ricoh cameras! ;) Good luck!

Rules:
You may post one photo right in reply to this post. Please, do not link them from other sites! Use the "Upload Attachment" instead.
Contest photo must be taken with Ricoh camera! NOT IN THIS CONTEST!
The max size of the photo is limited to 1024x768 and the file must contain EXIF!
Please guys, make sure your photo contains EXIF! Entries without EXIF will be disqualified! (not this time)
Ricoh film camera entries (without EXIF) are allowed, but only from people with previous forum activity and history (some previously posted Ricoh photos).

The deadline for posting contest photos is 31.10.2010 at 12PM forum time

Here you can learn how to upload (please, do not link) the photos right in forum post...

Contest Prizes:
Also this time, there will be some really interesting HW prizes (big thanks to our sponsors Ricoh and Alpha Digital!). Of course, there will be also the usual set of SW prizes from Shortcut, Mediachance and newly also Pixelmator!

The winner will have an option to pick either the HW or SW prize. Winner will also have an option to pick anything from the below listed prizes (just one of them of course;) ).
HW prizes for this month:
- Special Ricoh "GR Digital" pin - very rare item! (almost exact copy of the GRD camera logo). I found three more of them in my old camera bag ;)
file.php

- Delkin LCD cover + Energizer battery (DB60/65 compatible - here) + microfiber cloth for lens/LCD cleaning

SW prizes for this month:
- Pixelmator - Image and Photo editor for Mac OS X, kindly provided by Pixelmator developers.
Or any of these, kindly provided by Mediachance...
- Dynamic Auto Painter
- Dynamic Photo HDR
- PhotoBrush
- DCE AutoEnhance
- Pure Image NR

In addition, the winner will be honored to suggest a contest theme for next month!

Good luck everyone!

PS: Please folks, give your photos a reasonable tittle! The best would be to enter the tittle in the "File Comment" box along with your uploaded photo. At the end of each month I'm hunting for the titles over the entire post and sometimes I have no other option than to use "unnamed", which is somewhat silly ;)

Ahoj Pavel, hi all,

here is one shot of me from this spring, taken by my GX100 while timelapsing storms in Colorado:

It was shot by my camera after it was knocked down by a wind gust, together with the tripod, on our storm chase. Despite that it fell down from about 1m, the camera kept shooting, and shooting, and shooting, and shooting, .... like a Duracell bunny :D Fortunately it survived without any obvious harm ;)

Cheers, Martin

Got a Ricoh 500 GX on ebay with shot seals so replaced them with open cell adhesive weather strip foam. Stuck a hearing aid battery in it for the light meter & some Kodak Gold 200. Had it proccessed at Kmart. Light seals work fine. The photo from Kmart is straight too.
But my scanner is rubbish, and twisted it all out of shape. So I converted it to B&W to hide the blue hue of the scanner.
