What an incredible travel in the past...
I'm very interested to see how much night photos are possible with a GRD III.
Even if I've just a GRD I, I'll try it too...
And I'm also waiting my GRD II for this experience!

Wonderful shots Gab! I enjoyed the tour :) . I really like being able to see Italy like this, as I may never be able to go there, but it's close to my heart as I am half Italian and never knew my Italian father. He never knew about me either, and unfortunately I will never be able to find him. I can't reveal any more about the circumstances to do with my coming into the world, but let's just say that since I knew about my genetic father (although, I know very little), I always wanted to go to Italy, and also learn Italian - just a way of trying to get in touch with the other part of me. I am glad I joined this forum, as I can now see other parts of the world that I probably wouldn't have been able to see otherwise :) .

All, thank you very much for your comments, as always it is a joy for me to share with you my pictures and I'm really happy that you like them... Of course these pictures show only a very small part of the uncountable wonders that are in this city, but with time I'll have the pleasure to show you as much as possible. :D

@ Douane:  ... of course I will be honored to be your "Cicerone" ;)

@ Athena: thank you very much for your story, I really hope that in the future you will have the chance to meet your father, if this is your desire. It is a matter of fact that Rome is one of the most beautiful cities in the world and deserve a visit at least once in the life... an is also a matter of fact that we romans are so used to see these wonders that we hardly notice them more... Anyway every time I go in Rome (I now live not so far...) I try to take some pictures and some time ago I was working on a project called "Roma Caput Mundi". This should have been a sort of photographic book related to the "Foro Romano", i.e. the center of life, politics and culture of the ancient city and of which you have some pictures in this post, and the "Altare della Patria", i.e. our monument to the Unknown Soldier (is the white monument that you see in the pictures Rome4 and Rome7). These pictures have been taken with my Nikon D200 but I abandoned the project due to lack of time... Anyway I will post some of them in a separate post and I will dedicate them to you and all the ricohforum friends that would like to visit this "Eternal City".

Hello Gab,

JONIE
