Been awhile since i posted here.

Me and my wife took my daughter to her first ballet performance, sleeping beauty.
I saw this older couple in the elevator after the performance in the elevator.
I really like this shot.

Hi James. I had a brief forum discussion on one of my posts regarding what I considered my best photo......and that what I considered was my best is a matter of opinion. I qualified my comment by realising that what I meant by my best....was my best technically. Not necessarily subject matter.

Sometimes, a photo speaks to me, but I am unsure of what it is saying.....even my own.

I am interested to know what this photo says to you. I like the dark and moody processing. I am not sure she likes him any longer.....look at the way she is holding her hands, tightly gripped, the look! He is looking away, hands in pockets.

Silence! Tense atmosphere in a confined space.

What does it say to you, why do you like it?

Hello Peter.
Thanks for the comment.
And to answer your questions

I don’t think this is one of my best photos, But I like it. Reason that I do like it is because it is one of those moments where the photo tells the story.

To me he is getting that look that all men get from time to time. She is pensive and annoyed, it’s written all over her face. She is giving him that look we get when we men know we are in trouble. And as for him he totally looks defeated. He looks as though he didn’t even want to be there, I think he is wishing he could have stayed home that Sunday night.
I think men and woman can relate to the feeling…

hope that makes sense.
