New the this Forum. Excited about getting my GR. I’ve been into photography since 1965. Professionally for 58 years. Trying to reduce the carry and get to basics. The ergonomics and well thought out system of the GR seems special. I will be receiving my GR forthwith. Hope the sensor is clean…

Hi John. Great to see someone with such experience in photography. I’ve been carrying my M8 for sometime now and still love it…But the GR is so much joy and lightness, it wins very often as the everyday carry. And my case goes, it’s the GRIIIX so no upgrade to IV as I prefer the 40mm equivalent - 75000 shots and no dust. I’ll wait for the IVx.
It’s really overhyped this dust issue by those of us that either don’t take care of the camera or have this perfection feel. Or both. It’s a snapshooter camera after all. And if one wants to get large size prints, you can fix any spot in post production. In the past film was so dusty. No one complained I guess.
