New GR User

Hi all. New owner of a Ricoh GR. Currently a user of Pentax K-30 too, but was looking for a 'compact' that I could slip in my pocket for some spur of the moment pictures, without the weighty (and lovely) K-30 round my neck. The reviews of the GR were too good to resist and, once I'd confirmed iPhoto would take the RAW picures (long story elsewhere on the Forums), I went for it.

More used to portrait and 'flowers'. GR will I hope take me into new territory.

Looking forward to getting to know the Forum better over following weeks.

Hiya reverb and welcome to the Ricoh forum. The GR is bigger than previous GRD's but still pocket able.

Hi reverb, and welcome - I believe the K-30 is WR, and some of us here are hoping Ricoh will manufacture a WR serious compact APS-C sensor camera. A "rugged" GR might find quite a large audience...
