The GR takes the GW-3 wide lens. Pity. It would have been nicer if the earlier wide supplementary lenses had been re-cycled. Of course I have the gear for the GRDIII/IV and not for the GR where I might be able to see how well the GW-2 stood up.

Tom
Have you tried the GW-2 on the GR anyway ? Or maybe it doesn't mount at all ?

Can't mount anything until an adapter tube arrives in the country ...

Unless bought direct from Japan

Tom

Tom, I bought all my accessories from a guy called 'ace_of_bicycle2004' and he ships direct from Japan and all his goods are expedited/ posted for just $2.00 US/ £1.29 in my money. All of the stuff he has sent me has arrived within just four days...I couldn't believe it, that's quicker and cheaper than 2nd class domestic post in the UK.
I will always use and trust this guy, he's brilliant!

Thanks Paul,

I have bought a few things ex-Japan, their mail to Australia can be as little as three days if there is no weekend in between. From mainland China is much the same is they exert themself but can be a month if they send it ordinary mail. Hong Kong is a little slower. From Europe it takes about eight days from the UK or Germany and about eleven from Poland or Slovakia. From tracking data it takes about 14 days to get through customs for shipment clearence out of the Ukraine then it often ships via Moscow which in itself is 3/4 weeks. Tashkent! briliant, there is a dealer there who is very reliable, seven days to Australia (must be on the silk route) comes in a linen bag with real wax seals applied on the outside.

The USA, if you can persuade the vendor to ship regular post you are looking at $18-20 and eight days to here. If he insists on insured "expedited" "customs cleared" then it costs $50 and gets shipped via Kentucky wherever it started from and is more like 11-14 days.

No import duties here under $1,000 value, no clearence fees. Just normal customs checks - x-ray, weighing, whatever. Can land here and be on the road to be delivered within hours.

Now there is the question of our recent (deliberately) depleted currency value. Local industries have taken a bit of a hammering from our long-strong dollar.

Here's my GR ;)

The body suit is handmade by me with real leather...

Now that is a sweet deal, seyfer. I like what you've done with that leather, it looks like you are an artisan in this field...nice one!

Thankyou paulyrichard, but I'm not an artisan, I just like make things whit my hands.

When I saw some leather cases on this post I just thought "why don't try to make it one?" :D

Hey Sefer,
that's the nicest case I've seen for a GR so far. Would you consider making another for sale the same? PM me if you think you might :D
