My GXR is on its way!

Hi,

At 9 p.m., Foto-Koch sent me an a-mail that my GXR (+ 2 modules, evf, lens cap and HA-3) had left the store and is on its way to me. Maybe, it will arrive already tomorrow, maybe on Saturday, but definitely before Christmas. So, I will have a BIG Christmas present this year! (Actually, I financed it by selling all my existing gear...)

I think, it will take a couple of days, before I will be able to tell about my first experiences and -- maybe -- present some photos.

Good to hear Gerd that the camera will be there before Christmas. I got a similar message from my dealer that the GXR will be send out on friday. I have got a 40,5mm B+W UV filter waiting here for the A12

Which lens did you order Gerd? I wonder if the S10 does come with a standard lens cap. It is not in the manual but I can not imagine it comes without.

I ordered both the A12 and the S10. And I would agree that the S10 will come with a standard lens cap - it must have some sort of cap. I ordered also the LC-2, and all the accessories that I ordered are available at Foto Koch (actually, this is easier for Ricoh than fixing the AF issues...).

Well, the first ones will be the last ones -- or something like that... This my story:
The GXR package arrived today, and I was very happy. But only for a short while! When I called my wife from my company (not MY company...) and asked her to already charge the battery, she found that both the body and the battery were missing from the box.
I do not want to go too much into detail here, but I lost a lot of nerves today! Luckily, Foto Koch agreed to send another body, and I will return the body box with the existing content tomorrow. If I am lucky, I will have a complete GXR tomorrow!

Hi all,
with a sigh of relief, I can report that the body has arrived (and the battery) and my my equipment is complete!
The battery is charging - that will last for 5(!) hours. Maybe, I will shorten that a little bit to be able to take some shorts in daylight.
Here are some "proof of possession" photos taken with my wife's CX1 (just quick and dirty -- some showing the complete equipment including bags and converters; maybe, I need the photo rucksack that I just sold...).
Please allow some time before I will post some photos!
