My first attempt at street photography with my GR

Like the composition. Did you use the camera or post processing for B&W?

Answere to two questions

1. I post process, I cant see the point in in camera black and white, keep the option for colours, most of my street photography in converted to black and white.
although I often use in camera Vintage Black and white with my M9.

2. I used pinpoint focus, I do use snap but it depends on the situation and what strikes me when snapping.

Well done Baz

On the GR you can use a version of Mode2 focus peaking and enlarge it. This works well for pinpoint focus as you can focus on very precise points without fiddling with the "useless" GR MF "capability". A bit academic for street shots of course. A chance of experimenting with dof effect.

If you capture raw + jpg you can capture in b&w and then recover the colour version by switching off the b&w effect in raw file processing in camera. Ricoh helpfully adjusts this in camera so that the new image is next to the original image in order. Therefore by magnifying one image and using the jog lever you can compare the magnified part instantly on two versions of the same image. Neat and useful and part of the slide towards full in-camera adjustment of raw file captures. You can also try hi-contrast b&w on any image as Max, -1, and -2. The latter I quite like.
