I found these little guys on my hike today. My trusty GRDIII never lets me down.

Like them both -- but the first one especially... How did you get the sunstar at the top? I have exactly one picture with my GRD III where that occurs. But try as I might, I cannot replicate it. Same aperture setting, same angle towards the sun, same general situation light-wise -- but the thing won't do it anymore (just a bright spot in the picture). So how did you pull it off?

The GR lenses are pretty resistant to flare. I've found that it helps to shoot at f1.9 with the sun at just the right angle, around 45 degrees seems to work. It took me a few tries to get it just right.
