taken today at my local steam railway - sadly I had left the GXR at home to give my new 14-140mm for the G3 a run out. Shot in colour and converted to B&W in Photoshop.
this particular loco started life in 1953 at a colliery called Darfield No1. That name was also given to this loco. The colliery was situated near Wombwell in Yorkshire. It is on loan to the Chasewater Railway and has been here since July this year. A cold, frosty morning always gives steam that extra edge but it is a matter of luck whether you are pointing the camera at the scene when they decide to lift the safety valves etc.
