In my observations on some Korean users, there is a potential fix going around for anyone with a broken ring dial on the back of the GR:
"Spin the dial in the clock-wise direction for 1-2 minutes before trying the dial again and – viola~!"
Anyone care to give it a shot? Luckily my dial is still functioning normally, but I thought this might aid someone here!
