Your street shots are always an event at richohforum.com, Pete!
One thing I'm always curious about is your frequent use of chest- or hip-shot vantage points. Could you tell us a bit about your approach to...candidness? Maybe a photo of you at work on the street (not to suggest you're in any way a street-worker . )
There is something a little different about these images to the normal lot Peter.
The skin tones or texture is a bit more plastic rather than gritty. I sense a different camera or perhaps a change in post process?
hi guys, thanks for the comments. In respect of holding the camera: My ususal is to hold it in an area midway between my sternum and belt buvkle. It feels natural and comfortable for me. I hold the barrel of the lens steady with 2 fingers....a bit like holding a big fat stogie! I rarely do hip shots. The position I use doesn't look furtive to my mind, and leaves people wondering if I took a shot or not as the shutter is silent. Now and again I will make eye contact and lift the camera in absolute candidness, wink and shoot. But only if I feel it adds to the photo.
In respect of post processing........I lost my template and simply cannot replicate to my satisfaction. I accidently saved a different template over the original. Now I am trying to make one I am happy with. Like? not like? let me know....cheers.

Pete, what program are you using for post processing? Most of them are able to show you a history of processing steps. So from looking at that history in previous shots you may deduct what your template did.
Yes, you changed you style since your beginning. Now your are more after candid shots and street portraits. In your beginning, as shown in the other post, you took more scene pictures, framed situations. Don't know what I prefer. But interesting to see the changing in your style.
