London Olympics don't stop street shoot

My wife and I headed into the city today to watch the Olmpics on big screen outside City Hall. We wanted to soak up the atmosphere amongst our fellow country folk and the myriad tourists from all over the world. Indulged in some street shots on way there and back.

Captain Kidd Pub (after pirate who was hanged nearby I believe)

must be all happening and most busy around London at the moment Peter ;) - though looks somewhat chilly in some of the images the excellent and contented image of the Sikh fellow makes for a warm feeling

Kort .

:)

cheers guys. All taken on or in vicinity of Tower Bridge and Potters Fields.....smack bang in centre of City. Had a great time cheek by jowl with bonhommie that will last until end of olympics. 3rd in medal table......can you imagine? taking 3 gold in blue riband events like the 10k, long jump and heptathlon.

cheers

pete

These are really good Pete. The Olympics are swamped with cameras trained on competitors.
Its nice to see the other side.

Good to see street shooting is not dead in the UK. Have to smile at "Celebrating a Great British Summer" - a little tongue in cheek perhaps? "English understated humour".

I seem to remember beautiful a spring and autumn and three very hot days of summer in between.

I knew (hoped to be honest) you will take the opportunity to go after Olympic crowds, Pete. :)
The lady with tattoos on her arm wearing cute hat in British colours is lovely.
Thanks for posting.

Peter

Thanks for the vignettes into Olympic/ London street life. funny thing - despite all the intriguing humans, the dog interests me the most.

Believe my or not, but your photos are always an inspiration for me. They tell me: Go out, observe and capture the situation people are in in everyday street moments. Thanx Peter!
