Leica Summicron-M 40mm

First day with the new kit, A12 Mount and an almost 40 year old Leica Summicron-M 40mm f/2.0 lens:

What lovely pictures! These older Leica lenses are real gems. I have been tempted to get a 40mm but my old Summicron 35mm works beautifully wth the A12 M and it is pretty close in FL.

Thanks ayewing, I too would have preferred the 35 and considered the Voigt 35mm f/1.4 but decided on the least expensive Leica I could find.

Nice quality to the pictures, thanks for posting. Makes me want to go back and try the 50mm Summicron someone lent me. I remember there was all sorts of noise when color film was introduced about color correction but some of the old glass still gets things right.

The Summicron 40C is a nice little gem, underestimated for a long time.
