I can never follow the Leica D-silly-Lux names, I think that you have to be a seriously dyed in the wool leicaphile to do so. But I guess this is the Leica makeover of one of the Panasonic LX series. All the LX models took the same battery as the GRD models and the batteries and chargers were readily interchangeable. Now the GR battery has "big notches" and with slightly more grunt (since the GRDIII) but otherwise retrofits older cameras and the battery chargers seem oblivious to the notches.
Once things sold as De-luxe were regarded as something special, today D-Lux seems meaningless and even an affectation. What do they mean "De-luxe Panasonic"? Don't make me laugh ...
