Just ordered a Ricoh GXR

Hello,

I have been using Canon DSLR's for a long time, I have a red dot D-lux 3 which was a nice camera. But I wanted something different and have heard about this brand over the years. It doesn't seem to be very popular, but some people swear by it.

I was just wondering, I ordered it for like $550 with one unit , lens cap, and a battery. Is the 10 MP good enough to get by? I would assume it is. Some of the shots I saw for low light were amazing.

Hi macsareback,
the price seems very good (though I am guessing you have ordered the P10, 28 - 300mm unit?)
For low light, it could be that one of the A12 units would be best, but sadly probably not in this price range...
Hope you get on great with the GXR and look forward to your initial thoughts/images soon! :)

Yes that was the kit I ordered. One thing I was wondering, what are they going to do when a newer model with higher MP arrives? People are spending a lot of money for the units to have different lenses with a 10MP sensor built in right? So are those lenses going to be unusable for the newer model?

This is something I have been a bit curious about.
