Very nice composition. I'm looking forward to using my GR for some landscape shots as well. I tried hyperfocal with this shot http://www.flickr.com/photos/63453516@N06/9171629951/
Not as sharp in the background as I hoped but I think I need more time with the little gem.
I think I know what you mean. I too did not fall in love with my GR immediately. I've had it about a month now and am starting to become more attached to it but the first few weeks were sketchy.
Although similar in size to my GRD4, they are very different and distinct and it takes a little bit of time to acclimate to the new camera.
My GRD4 however, was love at first shot Go figure.
Jeff, I really think you need to forget the GRD?. A large issue is that the GRD 3 & 4 etc have history. They share that as a common denominator. The GR has no history, just a glimpse of the past but different.
It took me 5 weeks to get my heart wrapped around the GR but now......it sure makes pretty pictures....well not pretty with me but it makes what I want and need......
I'm around Bro'.......
