July contest finished! Thanks for posting all these nice and "on-theme" photos! Well done everyone!

As always, the voting will be open for next 7 days. You can (but you don't need to) select up to 3 favorite photos!
In case of too low number of votes or split vote, I reserve the right to select the winner myself.

Please, don't vote for yourself! Be fair and vote for competitor's work! Thank you!

Nice contest. Well done everyone! Please congratulate Fabuchan for his wining shot! Great job mate!

What I found interesting are two iPhone readers photos out of 14 entries. I mean, it's funny thing to see more and more people reading on mobile phones, particularly on iPhone/iPod touch. I personally am a big fan of mobile reading. I'm reading ebooks with phones since first Java enabled phones. It's great to be able to read everywhere I go and I have few minutes of spare time. No need of additional devices or bulky paper books. Sure, I'm still buying paper books, mainly the photo books and my favorite authors. But the truth is that I'm not buying the paper books as much as in the past. I just prefer ebooks that I can have always with me or in my personal ebook library accessible via internet. Am I weird? ;)

Wow... I want to thank you so much who voted for me, I am so thrilled about this, especially given the fact that I am relatively new to Ricoh...
Thank you!

And I also would like to say a special thank you to Pavel - aka odklizec-, thanks to your work, dedication and passion for Ricoh we can enjoy this fantastic forum!

Have a great week.

Fabuchan

PS: No, you're not weird:-) seeing these iPhone photos is really a mirror of society...interesting...

Another "thank you" for voting for me. This is the first time I've tried something like this. And only had the GRD for a couple of days at that point. Wow.

As to eBooks. While I like the concept, am having some problems. Most of my reading is too obscure to qualify. Or it's too photo heavy to really appreciate on a small format.

Still, I know a lot of folks who are totally going digital and getting rid of all books. Can't make that leap (yet).

Congratulation Fabuchan for winning this contest. As i understood you are in charge for the next theme of the contest for August ( ? ) So, be nice to us.......

Pavel, thank you for all your work on this Forum. I never thougt that i will be that much into the internet

and i`m sorry to say; reading a book without holding one in your hands is kind of weird, isn`t it ? ( ;) )

By the way - talking about "readers reading"... there is a very interesting exibition in London (Photographers' gallery) called "on reading" by André Kertész. It is free and, if you are in London, definitly worth a visit. I have been there yesterday and I was impressed...
