I cant drop below ISO 400

I have had the new Ricoh GR for a couple of weeks now. I have enjoyed shooting random candid shots of my little girl with it. Today I took it out on a shoot. I pulled it out of the camera bag and was going to sync it with off camera flash. I took my first shot and noticed it was way over exposed. I realized I had it at ISO 400. I tried to drop it down to ISO 100 and the camera would not let me. I tried switching to AV mode and the same thing happened. It would allow me to go to a higher ISO but not lower. Does anyone know anything about a bug that it might have?
 
Have you tried using flash in "M" mode? You set all 3 parameters in that mode. So you would just set the flash power to the exposure/ISO you are using.
 
I had the same problem. the fix is simple: go in the menu and restore the camera to factory defaults.

it's in menu/shooting/restore defaults.

hope it works for you too.
 
okay.. i reset factory settings and then took the battery out for a few seconds and then put it back and everything is okay now... i am just trying to figure out what happened? I never had a camera do that before....
 
Had the same problem

You have to turn off 'dynamic range compensation' (set to 'off') :)

It is actually in the manual, page 48...
I did read the manual, but overlooked this 'feature' completely...

Ricoh GR (V)codes

camera must be off!

set camera to green (auto) icon
button pad -> down press together with playback button -> firmware info
button pad -> up press together with playback button -> firmware update

factory reset!!! WIPES EVERYTHING
set to movie mode
press fn2 press together with the playback button; for about 4 sec.
The monitor screen will display: "Initialize the Setting"
Select "Yes" and hit "OK".
The camera will turn off after its initialization.
The internal setting would be cleared, and sequential numbering will start from 0001>
