Help with Ricoh R8 needed

I'm not much of a camera buff however i know what i like. I recently purchased the R8 and all pictures appear very dark and not completely focused. i spoke with tech support and all they could suggest is to restore default settings. this made no difference whatsoever. has anyone faced the same issues? is there a miracle cure? please help....

Hello Rajan and welcome here! Under what conditions and with what camera settings you took your photos? It would be helpful if you post an example photo or two.
