Hello from Canada

Hi - I'm a quiet guy from Waterloo, Ontario, Canada (100km west of Toronto). I like good small cameras. I take lots of pictures but rarely process them - jpg only for me. 28mm suits my eyes. My cameras (in order of acquaintance - I still know them all): Canon EOS 650, Leica Minilux Zoom, Contax SL300RT, Panasonic DMC L1, Ricoh GRD1, Ricoh GXR (50mm, 28mm, M-mount), Ricoh GRD1 (YES - another GRD1 for the great jpg files!).

I have been visiting this forum for a long time so I must say THANKS to everyone who posts - your information is very valuable to me.

OF COURSE! A PICTURE! This is one of the first pics I took with my new GRD1. It's not great but it reveals something - 2 coffee makers + 1 cup + a monkey (and all under-exposed, as I like it).

BTW, your first GRDI photo reminded some of my "first shots" from new cameras. I can assure you many of them were even more embarrassing than your first shot. I think it would be interesting to see "first photos" taken by people after unpacking the camera?
